WLSEN Three Things for Thursday – 8th April 2021

Hi folks – the coming months will see a few changes, not only with my own departure but also two of our Board members are stepping down. It’s an exciting time for WLSEN – if you’re interested in joining the Board, please let me know.

2/ Blackburn Hub Survey – Angela at The Larder has been in touch for input re their proposed new training, skills, family and wellbeing hub – survey here. This is a partnership venture with Blackburn Family Centre, Community Action Blackburn, WLC and WL College.

3/ Mental Health Awareness Week – running from 10-16th May, 2021, the theme is “Nature“, which seems appropriate. Angie, here at WLSEN, will be active on social media, posting about the work of members of the Mental Health Forum and re-posting on your behalf.

Extra Bit – member vacancies – lots of opportunities this week – SMILE have three vacancies, Team Leader, 16+ Counsellor and Schools Counsellor and Carers of West Lothian is looking for a Sustainability Officer to help develop potential trading opportunities and a long term sustainability plan. We’ve also heard from Karen at CAB West Lothian as they have a vacancy for a Money Help Advisor.
