Three Things for Thursday – 6th May 2021

Good morning! I hope you all managed to put your feet up for 5 minutes over the Bank Holiday weekend – I still can’t get over the fact we are into May already – I’m sure time speeds up the older I get!

1/ The UK Government – has announced three new public investment programmes aimed at levelling up communities – The Community Renewal Fund and Levelling Up Fund – deadline for these is 18th June at noon and your application must be made through your local authority. The Community Ownership Fund will be open by June 2021, for bidding.

2/ Scottish Community Alliance’s Community Learning Exchange (CLE) is open again for applications. It has been adapted for the current circumstances and can be delivered via Zoom, Teams etc. More info here.

3/ SENScot – Sport and Health joint SEN Session, Thursday 13th May at 2pm – being held slap bang in the middle of Mental Health Awareness Week. Join to hear from social enterprises working in the Mental Health sector and for a general discussion. Also a great opportunity to connect with other organisations. Register here.

Extra Bit – Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival – started on 3rd May and runs until Sunday 23rd May, with an exciting programme of events -exploring the theme of “normality.” For more info, click here.
