Three Things for Thursday – 27th May 2021

Good Morning! I really like learning new things and just yesterday I found out that the astronauts from Apollo 11, the ones that walked on the moon, had to go through customs when they got back to Earth! This little factoid made me gasp and chuckle, all at the same time – it’s the little things 😀

1/ Vacancies – 1st Step Development in Linlithgow is looking for a Team Coordinator, £26,000 (0.6 pro-rata) to lead their small but skilled team of bike mechanics and volunteers, to deliver supported training courses. To discuss the position and for more information contact Maria – 07597392931.
WLSEN is on the hunt for a new, volunteer Treasurer! So if you have a few hours to spare each month and are interested in being more involved with WLSEN, pop our Chair, Paul, an email for more information.

2/ Lockdown Lowdown 3 Young People’s Survey – The Scottish Youth Parliament, Youth Link and Young Scot, want to find out more about Young People’s thoughts and feelings as lockdown restrictions begin to ease. If you work with Young People, please can you ask them to fill in this survey.
Speaking of surveys, just a wee reminder to help The Brock out by spending a couple of minutes filling out their feasibility survey – they will be very grateful.

3/ Westspace Virtual Launch – Wednesday 16th June, 2-3:30pm – Westspace has undergone a bit of a facelift and are launching their new website and inform of their services at this Zoom event. Click here to book a place.
