Three Things for Thursday – 25th February 2021

Hi folks – not sure about you, but I am experiencing mixed emotions about the latest SG announcements – I appreciate things are heading in the right direction but another 2 months until I can go visit my family up north – flump!!!

1/ Big Lottery – it’s now possible to have two Awards for All awards, in a 12 month period, although one of them has to be Covid related – Julia Boardman, our contact in West Lothian, is happy to discuss any new applications with you. Other programmes have also changed with the Community Led stream open for both Covid related and traditional applications, for up to 3 years and Improving Lives is now a 1 stage application, max £200k, over 3 years and has a new priority of “Financial Hardship” (excluding food).

2/ Support – sorry for sounding like a broken record, but if you’re considering it, then please get your Adapt & Thrive applications in asap!! Also, lots of workshops coming up from Social Enterprise Scotland incl. Social Enterprise and Mental Health, Community Regeneration and Community Food.

3/ Member News The Brock is recruiting for a Facilitator with a lead role for online trading – contact Koen for an application form. Whitburn CDT is looking for volunteer drivers and Polbeth HUB is doing special offers on Mental Health First Aid Training.

NB – We have 5 places left for free, confidential counselling for leaders and senior staff plus, we are happy to arrange 2 sessions of free business coaching, if there is any interest – contact me for more info.
