Three Things for Thursday – 22nd April 2021

Hi folks – well tomorrow is my last day! Thank you for all the farewell good wishes, keep doing great things and you never know when we may meet again – it’s a small world!

1/ Our Vacancy – there’s still a few days to go so please, if you know anyone who might be interested in being the new WLSEN Network Manager, give them a nudge. If they’ve got business skills and an understanding of the Third Sector, that is so useful, but more importantly, they need to be able to build relationships and connect folk with one another and with support. More info here and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like an informal chat with one of our Board members.

2/ Mental Health Forum – as you know we’ve been supporting the forum for a year now and due to the passion and tenacity of everyone involved, it has grown (now 26 organisations and a few more on our mailing list) and raised the profile of the work carried out by Third Sector organisations, supporting people with mild to moderate health issues. We are in the midst of writing a tender bid for monies to resource the forum – wish us luck! If you’re interested in finding out more, check out our website or please get in touch with Angie.

3/ WLSEN over the coming weeks – until my successor is in place, please feel free to keep in touch – Angie will be monitoring both email addresses and liaising with our very able Board if needed i.e. Errin, June, Maria, Paul and Victoria. Also, the Board is made up of our members, so if you’re interested in joining, please give us a shout.

Extra Bit – Brand for Growth is open again for applications, if you’re interested in a re-brand – closing date is 30th April – apply here.
