Three Things for Thursday – 1st October 2020

Hi Folks – jeez – I am a bit overwhelmed that it’s October already – you?

1/ £15k VSGWL Covid-19 Recovery Fund (phase 2) – a second round of grants between £500 – £1000 opens today – it’s for small, grassroots organisations and groups, to support local communities. Closing date is 5pm on Friday 16th October. Click here for the guidance notes and here for the application form.

2/ Social Innovation Competition – quite specific but if you have a new idea based in the Great Outdoors with an environmental focus then Firstport is running a competition with three awards of £5k each – see here for details.

3/ Members Moving Forward – Kerry at Positively Able has recently launched her peer counselling service for adults experiencing disability with the added optional benefit of comfort, coming from her guide dog, Vixen.
More good news – after a fab refurb, Kidzeco re-opened their Bathgate shop this week as well as launching their new Click & Collect service.
