Three Things for Thursday – 17th December 2020

Hi Folks – on behalf of myself, Angie and the Board here at WLSEN, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, with everything crossed for an “uneventful” 2021!!

1/ Digital Support for Older or Disabled People – delivered via Connecting Scotland, the Winter Support Package aims to address social isolation and loneliness through the provision of devices and connectivity. In theory, it closes on the 18th January for decisions by March but, if you can fast track an application by 11am, 18th December (tomorrow), they will be assessed for delivery in early Jan. 2/ SMILE Counselling is developing a new training course called “Safe & Well” and is looking for people from the sector who might be interested in attending the pilot. It will comprise of 9 modules, which take place 1 day a week, over a 5 week period, early next year – for more information please contact

3/ Third Sector Mental Health Group – the next meeting will be on Tuesday 12th January at 1.30pm – as well as an update, we have also invited Wendy Carmichael, Service Manager for the Community Wellbeing Hubs.
