Hi folks – hope you’re all managing to connect with Social Enterprise Reset week – 8 more zoom chats to come plus a twitter hour from 1 til 2pm tomorrow #SocentReset

In other news here are some key updates:

  1. those with financial or employment difficulties
  2. minority communities.

 Deadline – 22 May 2020 at noon

2/ Furlough extension – as you no doubt have heard this is being extended with the hope that businesses can take up some of the cost of the 80% of employees earnings.  If it’s time for you to think about planning for the future and you need some help, please get in touch with Diane as we’ve created a small WLSEN Covid Support fund offering support from Community Enterprise

3/ Charities now eligible for Business Rates Grants – Scottish Government have announced that:

“properties occupied by charities can now apply for the £10,000 Small Business Grant including day centres, workshops and halls. It will apply to properties which are in receipt of any Charitable Rates Relief or Sports Relief but are otherwise eligible for the Small Business Bonus Scheme.”    Its worth appealing if you’ve been turned down and here’s the link if you’ve still to apply.
