Three Things for Thursday – 11th March 2021

Hi folks – I’m feeling a bit broken with all this sitting at my computer, so I’ve come up with a new idea for a social enterprise – let me know what you think? A mobile business selling desk chairs for home working – like the old-fashioned grocers van. I’d travel round with a van full of a selection of chairs, you’d try them out and order one that is actually comfy!!!

1/ Looking for a rebrand? – BOLD, the subsidiary of Community Enterprise, is open for applications for their fully-funded branding programme for social enterprises affected by Covid, across Scotland. To find out more and apply, check out Brand for Growth.

2/ Young Persons Guarantee – WLC via SG is providing an opportunity for third sector organisations in West Lothian to support the delivery of the Young Persons Guarantee – grant funding is available. If interested, guidance and the application form is here and completed forms are to be returned to Clare Stewart by Monday 15th March at 12 noon.

3/ Funding bits & bobs – Adapt & Thrive now extended til the end of June; three digital inclusion focused funds are open, including refurbishment and tackling health inequalities; start up social entrepreneurs are spoilt for choice with applications open for the School of Social Entrepreneurs and Firstport.
