Three Things for Thursday – 11th June

Hi folks – we hope that you’re continuing to find these weekly updates useful?   We are planning to review our role to ensure we’re meeting your needs so any feedback re this newsletter, anything else we’re doing or more importantly are not doing would be most welcome.

1/ Senscot SE-Reset report – published at the end of last week the report collates the findings from across the 20+ zoom chats that took place in SE-Reset week .  Some key topics were collaboration & sector responsiveness, recognition of uncertainty for the future of the sector and a need for peer support going forward.

2/ Scenario planning guide – Midlothian TSI has developed a guide to support organisations to plan for the resources they will need as we come out of lockdown.   Missing link It needs to be read in conjunction with the SG routemap 

3/ Small Business Support Grant for tenants – from 8 June those renting shared space may now apply for £10K grant e.g.  shared office, business incubator or industrial space. You must lease the space from a landlord who is the registered ratepayer for the property.  To be eligible you must also:

  • be a registered business or partnership
  • have a lease signed before 17 March 2020
  • employ at least one person
  • have a business bank account
  • not have received support from other sources incl. Third Sector Resilience Fund or Creative, Tourism and Hospitality Enterprises Hardship Fund
