Monthly Round-Up – October 2020 – WLSEN

What’s happening in the Sector:

Senscot’s “Rebuild and Restart Week” – Monday 16th November till Friday 20th November. This is a follow up from Senscot’s, very successful, “SE Reset Week”, held back in May. There are currently over 20 online events scheduled, designed to address “how, together, our sector can move towards recovery from the impact of Covid-19” For more info, click here.

Community Enterprise – Tuesday – 27th October – 10am till noon. They are hosting an online event to launch their research report – “A Different Approach to Community Led Asset Development”. Click here for more information.

Senscot – Pockets and Prospects Programme – running from November 2020 until February 2021 – it will focus on addressing the emergency mental health and wellbeing needs, as a result of Covid, within communities. The programme will be following the “Pick N Mix” style – If you are interested please contact Mary at Senscot.

Community Climate Asset Fund – The Community Climate Asset Fund (CCAF) is a Scottish Government fund, administered by Keep Scotland Beautiful – Closing date is Monday 9th November at noon. For more details, click here.

Social Enterprise Scotland – Buy Social Bootcamp – Monday 2nd November till Friday 5th November – Via Zoom @ 4pm. Buy Social Scotland is a new initiative to promote trading social enterprises to Scottish consumers by highlighting their products, services and experiences. This Bootcamp is a series of webinars, tailored to help you solve common marketing, communications and sales challenges. Click here to book.

Positively Able CIC
  Positively Able CIC is a new organisation focussing on providing professional, accessible peer-counselling to adults experiencing disability. They offer peer-counselling via Zoom, Teams and telephone just now due to COVID-19 restrictions but aim to resume their socially distanced, face to face service as soon as possible.   Their person centred service aims to give individuals more choice and control of their therapeutic needs by offering 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions at affordable rates.
