Funding:

The Robertson Trust – Change in Partnership Fund – as part of their 2020/2030 strategy, The Robertson Trust have announced this new fund, aimed towards larger organisations, this month. Take a look for more information

The Empowering Women Fund – aims to support small women’s groups and organisations to develop innovative ways of empowering women in their local area and build capacity of small organisations – deadline for round one is Friday 28th May at 5pm. Click here for more details.

Firstport Scotland – Boost It Fund – helps social enterprises, that have been trading for up to three years, to strengthen their business. It can also help social enterprises at the Start-up stage, with an injection of capital to get their idea started. Have a look at their website for more information.

SENScot All SEN session – Demystifying Data, Wednesday 26th May, 10:30 – 11:30am – The Scottish Government published digital and AI strategies that puts data at the centre of Scotland’s economic recovery. To find out how you and your organisation can upskill and use data and analytics to your advantage, register for this web session.

Scotland’s Social Enterprise Interactive Support Map – is now live! This is a free resource, designed by BOLD Studios in collaboration with Community Enterprise and funded by the Scottish Government. It enables organisations to connect with key support and also has a forum function where you can post or answer questions or comment on a subject – a great way to connect with other social enterprises. WLSEN – the Network Manager interviews have been completed so hopefully, we will soon be in a position to inform you of who will be stepping into the role – exciting!

The Brock Growth Survey – The Brock is an established social enterprise that assists people in West Lothian with chronic mental conditions and issues. Service users benefit from participating in therapeutic horticulture, woodwork and other craft activities from a base in Broxburn.  The Brock is currently seeking to build on this successful approach to help a greater number of people across West Lothian and is investigating the possibility of establishing a presence at a second location in Bathgate.  In order to ensure that any extended service meets local need and avoids duplication Indigo Project Solutions has been commissioned to undertake a feasibility study and are currently seeking input from other organisations across West Lothian to inform this work.To help with this we would be very grateful if you could spend 5 minutes completing this short survey and should you have any queries please contact anne@indigops.com

Volunteers’ Week – 1st – 7th June – Voluntary Sector Gateway is requesting short videos, celebration photos or letters/statements to be sent to them, so they can publish them over the week – giving thanks and celebrating the work of all the amazing volunteers in our sector.
