What’s Happening in the Sector –

Member News –

Simply Play is about to open West Lothian’s first fully outdoors, woodland nursery. ‘Wonder Woods’. It will be opening at Harburn next month and they are holding open days and giving tours.

Two exciting Development Officer roles are available with Fauldhouse CDT  – closing date is 27th July at 12 noon.

Social Investment Scotland (SIS) have launched the Ambitions for Recovery Programme – It combines a number of elements to suport a cohort of up to 20 organisations renew and recover including – Peer support, access to business grants for specialist supoort and resilience support for social leaders. Funding –

Third Sector Resilience Fund is still open for those who are experiencing short term cashflow challenges – check here first for eligibility.

West Lothian Development Trust – is money received from windfarm developments in West Lothian. For more information and to download an application form, click here.

WLSEN Covid Support Fund – we still have a small pot of money if you’d like to access business support from Community Enterprise – contact info@wlsen.org.uk

Sports Scotland – Sports Facilities Fund – supports capital projects that create or improve places where people take part in sport and physical activity. Click here for more information.

National Lottery – until at least October 2020 they will prioritise applications which are Covid-19 related e.g. supporting those at high risk of Covid, supporting those facing challenges caused by Covid and supporting communities to connect around Covid. Foundation Scotland – Baille Gifford Community Awards Programme – is open and will offer grants of up to £2,000. For more information, click here.
