Monthly Round-Up – August 2020 – WLSEN

What’s Happening in the Sector:

Third Sector Summit – “Creating a New West Lothian” – Monday 7th September, 10-12pm – We are really excited about the Summit. It is going to give West Lothian’s Third Sector an opportunity to highlight the efforts made during Covid-19 lockdown and also to discuss how we can strengthen our partnerships to deliver effective services, in the recovery period.
Both myself and Diane will be attending and we hope to see (virtually!) as many WLSEN members there as possible.

Extra:

Senscot “Collective Purchasing” Initiative – Senscot are looking to pilot this scheme. They would sign up to purchase items which social enterprises commonly require, for example, PPE and cleaning products. They would really appreciate it if you could complete this survey to help them assess demand.

“Buy Social” Campaign – The Scottish Government is funding the Buy Social Campaign for social enterprise. Keep an eye on social media and our newsletters, as more details about this will be announced in the coming weeks.

Recovery Fund – There has been a lot of talk about this but no real details. More news is being released on the 8th September so we will let you know more when we get it.

See you next month!
