Funding:

Community Renewal Fund – as mentioned in yesterday’s TTT, this fund from the UK Government and administered by WLC is “designed to support communities and to pilot a new, flexible approach to administering funding ahead of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.” To apply contact Alice Mitchell.

Brand for Growth – is open for the 2nd round of funding for all social enterprises across Scotland. If you feel like your organisation needs a branding overhaul, take a look at BOLD’s website and apply – click here. Closes 30th April 2021.

The National Lottery Community Fund – Julia Boardman, the West Lothian officer for TNL, shared a few changes to some of the funding streams. Have a look at their website for more details. Julia stressed that, if you are unsure about anything, to please get in touch with her.

Business Gateway West Lothian – have some really helpful sessions coming up including; Remote and Flexible Working – Adapting your Business and Team, 20th April at 10am and Writing a Business Plan – Why it is essential for ALL Businesses, 21st April at 2pm. Social Enterprise Academy – 1:1 business coaching sessions are back – 2X90 minute sessions, apply via Just Enterprise.

Digital Training – The Curve is a series of free workshops for third sector staff aiming to increase knowledge and ultimately, digital effectiveness – they are being provided by Ross McCulloch of Third Sector Lab. More Info here.

Blackburn Hub Survey – If you haven’t already, please take a few minutes to fill out this survey. The Larder, Blackburn Family Centre, Community Action Blackburn, WLC and WL College have come together and proposed a new Training, Skills, Family & Wellbeing Hub, so your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Job Vacancies – Polbeth HUB is looking for a Business Development Worker, The Bridge Community Project have 2 posts available – Counselling Development Worker and Wellbeing Outreach Development Worker. Firefly Arts is looking for a P/T Administrator, email Joanna for a full job description and to apply. The Larder have a range of jobs and volunteer opportunities available. Mental Health Awareness Week – running from 10 – 16th May, 2021, the theme this year being “Nature.” I will be active on social media, promoting the work of the members of the Mental Health Forum and re-posting on your behalf – if you want anything shared let me know or tag WLSEN in your posts.
