Almond Valley Heritage Trust is charity established as a company limited by guarantee in 1990, but with volunteer and community roots that stretch back to the early 1970’s. Their mission is “to preserve and interpret the history and environment of West Lothian and make this heritage accessible, engaging and enjoyed by all”
They are a fully accredited museum with a collection that is recognised as being of national importance to Scotland. They work in partnership with West Lothian Council to deliver a museum service for the county.
